So I was doing renal dosing at the hospital and I realize that the patient doesn't have Height and Weight on the computer. Well, obviously, I need those info to calculate CrCL. So I called the nursing station to get the info. All they have to do is read the chart to me. This is what happen.
Me: Hi this is [me] calling from pharmacy. Can I get the height and weight for [insert patient] from room [insert room#], please? ((I EVEN SAY PLEASE!!!))
Nurse: What do you need it for?
Me: ((wtf do you care?)) Uh...I need it to do the renal dose for one of the medications the patient is taking.
Nurse: Why, isn't it on the computer? It should be on the computer.
Me: ((would I fuckin' call you if it was on the computer?)) No, it wasn't on the computer.
Nurse: Fine, hang on. *Puts me on hold*
Few minutes later, nurse gives me the info.
Sheesh, what an attitude.
